George Philip Baldwin

George Phillip Baldwin passed peacefully on August 9, 2024 surrounded by his family in his home in Independence, Missouri. Born May 10, 1953 to George Edward Baldwin and Easter Louise Baldwin. He was born in Green Castle, Indiana.

In youth, his parents moved to Spring Hill, Kansas where he grew up until he joined the Navy where he served in Vietnam. George enjoyed motorcycles where he was in a club in his youth, and tinkering in his garage. George had many talents. For many years he worked as a pipe fitter and welder. Retired as an over the road truck driver. In 1997, he met his widow, Julia Mae Adams, and they were married on Christmas Day 1998. They were happily married for 26 years.

He is proceeded in death by his parents George and Esther Baldwin, his sister Randa and his ex-wife Susan Carlisle. George is survived by his wife, Julia Baldwin of Independence, Missouri, his daughter Brandy Baldwin and her paramour LJ and her five sons, James, Chase, Blaise, Nicholas and Jonathan of Michigan Valley, Kansas. His daughter, Sarah Baldwin, and her son Jackson of Independence, Missouri, his daughter, Casandra Pope and her three children, Jimmy, Casey and Alex of Independence, MO. His brothers, Michael Odell of Saint Joe, Missouri, and Alfred Forbes of New Salisbury, Indiana.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Heartland Hospice for the care that he received during his last days at the end of his life.
