Timothy Charles Sanders, 60, passed away on February 22, 2025. He was born on March 8, 1964, in Rolla, Missouri, to Melinda Mitchell and Larry Murphy, and was later adopted by Bill Sanders.
Timothy was a man of many talents, excelling as a truck driver and master mechanic. If it had wheels or an engine, he could fix it—probably with a little creativity and a few extra parts left over. He was someone who put his mind to things and made them work, whether it was an engine, a challenge, or just making people laugh.
He is survived by his children, Joshua Sanders and Amy Sanders; his grandchildren, Jax Fahnestock and Kal-el Boyles; and his siblings, Sandy Cotton (Chris), Larry Murphy, and Jimmy Sanders. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Sanders (Marty). He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will always remember his wild stories and unforgettable personality.
Life wasn’t always easy for Timothy, and he faced his share of battles, particularly with mental health. But at his best, he was fun-loving, full of life, and could make just about anyone smile. His journey had its ups and downs, but he will be remembered for his humor, his resilience, and the way he could light up a room when he was in his element.
A celebration of Timothy’s life will be held on March 8, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Heart of God Fellowship, 3720 N. Buckner Tarsney Rd., Buckner, MO 64016. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to mental health organizations in his honor.
Timothy’s road may have been a winding one, but his memory will ride on in the hearts of those who loved him.
